Where Do These Follower Counts Come From?
From TikTok. We open each account's public profile the way a browser does when nobody's logged in and read the follower count TikTok sends with the page.
It's the exact count, not the rounded one you see in the app.
To pick which accounts to check, we start from Wikipedia's list of the most followed TikTok accounts and another public top 100 list, then read every account ourselves.
The lists only tell us where to look, and none of the numbers come from them. An account that's missing from both could be missing here too.
Counts change every day, so think of the table as a snapshot from October 8, 2026. We count again every month and update the date at the top.
