Why Some Comments Don't Appear
You can only read what TikTok shows publicly, and creators have a few ways to shape that. They can limit comments to friends, or turn comments off on a single post.
Filters can hold back spam, offensive comments or comments with certain keywords until the creator approves them, and some creators review every comment before it goes public.
Creators and commenters can delete comments, and TikTok may remove comments that break its Community Guidelines. Hidden and removed comments can't be viewed here.
Checking Giveaway Entries
If your giveaway asks people to comment, check the replies as well as the top-level comments, since some people enter by replying in a thread.
Comments caught by your own filters stay hidden until you approve them, so go through your filtered comments in the TikTok app before you start counting.
Open each finalist's profile to make sure the account is real and matches the name on the comment. Then pick the winner in a way you could explain to your audience.

Which links work?
Full video links from your browser, like tiktok.com/@name/video/…, and short share links from the app, like vm.tiktok.com/…, both work.
Why can't I find a comment I saw before?
Its author or the creator may have deleted it, or TikTok may have removed it. Comments held back by a creator's filters aren't public either.
Can I read comments on private videos?
No. You can only open public videos from public accounts here. Posts shared only with friends, and videos from private accounts, stay private.
