How It Works
Copy the Link
In the TikTok app, tap Share and copy the link, or copy the address from your browser. Then paste it in the box above.
Check the Video
The video opens on its own page, so you can make sure it's the right one.
Pick a Format
Download it as MP4 or HD, both without a watermark, or save just the audio.
MP4, HD or Audio
MP4 is the safe bet. It's TikTok's standard H.264 file, usually 720p, and it plays on almost any phone, computer or editing app.
The HD option shows up when TikTok has a sharper version of the video, up to 1080p. That file is usually H.265, which some older devices and players can't open, so if an HD download won't play, get the MP4 instead.
Audio saves just the sound, as an MP3 or M4A file, depending on what TikTok provides. Paste a photo post instead and you'll get options for saving its pictures.
Videos Without the TikTok Watermark
When you save a video in the TikTok app, the file may include the TikTok watermark and the creator's username. The files you get here come without them, so the video looks just the way it plays on TikTok.
Each file streams from TikTok through our server straight to your device, and we don't keep a copy.
You can download any public video. Videos from private accounts can't be downloaded, and neither can posts the creator shared only with friends or kept to themselves.
Using Downloaded Videos Fairly
Lots of people use a TikTok downloader to keep their own videos.
Your Own Videos
A clean copy is easy to re-edit, archive or post somewhere else without a watermark across it.
For Reference
Saving someone else's video for your own reference is common too.
Reposts and Ads
If you want to repost another creator's video, or use it in an ad or other commercial work, you need their permission.
Credit
Give credit when you share other people's work.
Keep in mind that the song in a video usually has its own copyright owner.

Missing a feature, or something didn't work?
How do I download a TikTok video without a watermark?
Copy the video's link, paste it in the box above and choose MP4 or HD. The file you get has no TikTok watermark and no username stamped on it.
Which TikTok links can I paste?
The full link to a video (tiktok.com/@name/video/…) or a short share link from the app (vm.tiktok.com/… or vt.tiktok.com/…). If the link comes with other text around it, you can paste it all.
Can I download TikTok videos in HD?
Yes, when TikTok has an HD version. You'll get an HD option alongside MP4, and it saves the sharpest version TikTok has, up to 1080p. The regular MP4 is usually 720p.
Why won't the HD video play?
HD files are usually encoded in H.265, which some older phones, computers and video players can't handle. Download the MP4 instead. It plays almost everywhere.
Can I download any TikTok video?
Any public video, yes. Videos from private accounts aren't available, and neither are posts the creator limited to friends or to themselves.
Do you store the videos I download?
No. Each file streams through our server to your device and is never saved. Like most websites, we keep server request logs, and those are deleted within seven days.
Do I need an app or a TikTok account?
No. Everything happens in your browser, and you never have to sign in.
